《掃窗會》是潮劇最負盛名的折子戲之一 — 王金真沦落掃窗、與夫高文舉相認的一折，唱腔細膩，向來是潮劇旦角的試金石。此處由新天彩潮劇團演出（與第15盤《四告狀》同一班底），一九六一年七月十四日錄下。盒中還散著一疊未貼的剪報 — 《劉三姐》的廣告、劇照、演員表 — 外公的資料庫，六十年來仍待整理。一九五七年，姚璇秋正是憑這折《掃窗會》在中南海獻演，潮劇由此名動全國。惟盒上「新天彩」的歸屬未可盡信 — 帶子原主素有舊盒重用之習，盒面的印貼未必即是盤中之聲。《扫窗会》是潮剧最负盛名的折子戏之一 — 王金真沦落扫窗、与夫高文举相认的一折，唱腔细腻，向来是潮剧旦角的试金石。此处由新天彩潮剧团演出（与第15盘《四告状》同一班底），一九六一年七月十四日录下。盒中还散著一叠未贴的剪报 — 《刘三姐》的广告、剧照、演员表 — 外公的资料库，六十年来仍待整理。一九五七年，姚璇秋正是凭这折《扫窗会》在中南海献演，潮剧由此名动全国。惟盒上「新天彩」的归属未可尽信 — 带子原主素有旧盒重用之习，盒面的印贴未必即是盘中之声。Sweeping the Window is among the most celebrated scenes in all Teochew opera — Wang Jinzhen reduced to sweeping, and the recognition between her and her husband Gao Wenju; its intricate singing has long been a touchstone for Teochew leading ladies. Performed here by the New Tian Cai troupe (the same company as reel 15's Si Gao Zhuang) and recorded on 14 July 1961. Loose in the box lies a sheaf of clippings he never pasted down — advertisements, stills and cast lists for Third Sister Liu — his research file, still unsorted after sixty years. It was with this very scene that Yao Xuanqiu performed in Zhongnanhai in 1957, putting Teochew opera on the national map. The New Tian Cai billing, though, should be held lightly — the tapes' first owner was a great reuser of boxes, and what is pasted on a lid need not describe the sound inside.
